Introduction
Jimingyi City is a relic of a Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) post station located in Jimingyi Village, Jimingyi Township, Huailai County, Hebei Province. It covers an area of approximately 22,000 square meters and is nearly square in shape. The city wall is approximately 1,891.8 meters in circumference, with a brick surface layer and a rammed earth inner layer. It has a bottom width of 8-11 meters, a top width of 3-5 meters, and a height of up to 11 meters, with four corner towers. Jimingyi City has both east and west city gates, with city towers built along the city wall and smoke towers outside the city. There are five intersecting roads inside the city, forming 12 different-sized areas. The post office is located in the center of the city, with the northwest area being the horse station, the northeast area being the post warehouse, and the east-west passage of the post road along the southern edge of the city. The buildings inside the city are evenly distributed and numerous ancient shops and residences have been preserved.
