Introduction
The Baise Uprising Memorial Hall located in the northeast suburbs of Baise City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was built to commemorate the Baise armed uprising in December 1929, which led the southern Xinjiang. The memorial hall was established in 1999, and the name was inscribed by General Secretary Jiang Zemin. The uprising effectively struck the arrogance of the Guiyang warlords of the Kuomintang and left an important page in the history of the Chinese revolution. The four thick pillars at the entrance of the memorial hall symbolize the heroic spirit of the Baise people. Above the entrance, there are golden characters engraved with the name of "Baise Uprising Memorial Hall" which was inscribed by General Secretary Jiang Zemin. On both sides of the gate are reliefs that are 7.3 meters high and 8.9 meters wide respectively, depicting the scenes of "land revolution" and "armed struggle". Visitors can take one of the eight urban bus lines or a taxi to get to the memorial hall.
