Introduction

Built in the 10th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, Guanyin Temple is dedicated to the Four-Armed Avalokitesvara and has a history of more than 1300 years. It is a well-known ancient temple mainly studying the classics inherited from the pre-Buddhist period of Lamaism. Due to the rise of Yellow Buddhism, a lot of Yellow Buddhist doctrines have also been infiltrated into the classics of the temple, which led to its mistaken identity as a Yellow Buddhist temple. The old living Buddha who propagates that the Guanyin Bodhisattva in the temple, the Guanyin Bodhisattva in the Potala Palace in Tibet, and the Guanyin Bodhisattva in Wutai Mountain share the same origin has made the temple more and more famous, with continuous burning of incense and generous donations.
