Introduction

There is an ancient city called Shouchun in Shou County, which was the capital of the Chu State during the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period. The ancient city wall was built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it is still well-preserved with a solid foundation and magnificent momentum. There is a well-preserved Song dynasty city wall surrounding the ancient city, which has been repaired many times and has a double function of military defense and flood protection with brick on the outside. It is one of the seven well-preserved ancient city walls in China, which is 100 years older than the Pingyao ancient city in Shanxi. The city wall is closely related to many stories, such as "deep affection for licking the calf," "men inside the gate," "snake swallowing an elephant" and so on. There is also a moat outside of the city wall, with the north adjacent to the Huai River. Walking on the city wall, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. The buildings in the ancient city are scattered, and residents still live here with a strong atmosphere of life. Address Shouxian County, Huainan City, Anhui Province
