Introduction

The Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is the only large-scale comprehensive commemorative museum in China that fully reflects the history of the Chinese people's resistance against Japanese aggression (as of 2014). As a national first-class museum, a national exemplary base for patriotic education, a national defense education base, a national integrity education base, and one of the top 100 national red tourism sites, it is the director unit of the Secretariat of the Chinese Society for the Study of the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Professional Committee of the Museum of the Chinese Museum Association. The cultural relics in the museum mainly cover various historical documents and objects from the period of the War of Resistance Against Japan from 1931 to 1945, as well as various cultural relics of Japan's invasion and occupation of Taiwan since 1874. These cultural relics involve military, political, economic, cultural, and social aspects. As of 2014, the museum's collection of cultural relics has exceeded 20,000 pieces (sets), including more than 100 pieces (sets) of first-class cultural relics.
