Introduction
Wanshou Mountain is a remnant of Yanshan, with a height of about 58.59 meters and an elevation of about 108.94 meters, located in front of Kunming Lake. As early as the seventh year of the Ming Dynasty's Hongzhi reign (1494), the nurse of Emperor Xiaozong, named Mrs. Luo, built Yuanjing Temple in front of the mountain. Later, in the early years of the Qing Dynasty, it was also used as a royal horse feed field. In the 15th year of the Qianlong reign (1750), in order to celebrate the Empress Dowager's 60th birthday, Yuanjing Temple was rebuilt into Dabao'en Yanshou Temple, and the mountain was renamed Wanshou Mountain.
