Introduction

The Engebei Ecotourism Area is located in Ulan Township, Dalat Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. It covers an area of about 300,000 acres, including 180,000 acres of desert and 120,000 acres of grassland. After unremitting efforts, this previously untreated desert area has become one of the famous sand control centers. Every year, many international friends come here to plant trees and visit various exciting attractions. Today, the Engebei Ecotourism Area has developed into a comprehensive service desert ecotourism area, providing services such as desert bird watching, desert scenery watching, eco-agriculture sightseeing, desert plant viewing, and tourist leisure vacations. The tourist area offers five major tourist attractions and more than 20 tourist spots, including tree planting tourism, viewing desert oasis, rare animal viewing, and water sports.

Transportation
There is a direct bus from Baotou East Station to Engerbe every day. The departure time from Baotou East Station is 14:30, arriving at the hotel in front of Baotou Department Store at 15:00, and arriving at Engerbe around 17:00. On the return trip, wait at the Sand Road opposite the Engerbe Desert Village Hotel. The time passing through Engerbe in the return trip is different for summer (May 1st - October 31st) at 6:30 and winter (November 1st - April 30th) at 7:30. The bus runs once a day and costs 15 yuan to Engerbe. To go to Engerbe, you can inquire about this bus at the front square of Baotou East Station, and it usually stops there around 12:00 every day.
