Introduction
Loping County, located between the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the Western Guizhou Plateau, has a complex terrain. The northwest part is a plateau, while the central part is a basin formed by karst subsidence and erosion. The eastern and southern parts have a landscape of medium and low mountains and gorges formed by river erosion. The highest peak is the main peak of Baila Mountain, with an elevation of 2468 meters, while the lowest point is the Sanjiangkou in Lubuge Township, with an elevation of 722 meters, resulting in a relative height difference of 1746 meters. Due to its unique geographical environment and ecological resources, Loping County has been named as a "Top 100 National Tourism County", "Advanced County for National Grain Production", "Nation's Largest Tobacco Production County", and "National Civilization County" along with other urban honors.
