Introduction

The Loyalty Martyrs Shrine is a large-scale building that is built along the mountain. The entire layout is square-shaped with a lower front and higher back. Inside the shrine, the granite slab road connects with 276 stone steps, which are used to form a structure together with the archway, the July 7th Memorial Tower, the Memorial Hall, the Salute Monument, and the Share Hall. It stretches 240 meters long, 60 meters wide, and covers an area of 14,400 square meters. Above the Loyalty Martyrs Shrine is a memorial forest for Chiang Kai-shek's visit to Mt. Nan Yue, with verdant hills on both sides and ancient pine trees surrounding the entire building in the mountains. The Loyalty Martyrs Shrine houses 13 large martyr tombs, which commemorate the anti-Japanese martyrs of the Ninth Military Region. The building was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province in October 1983 and was included in the "National Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit" by the State Council in December 1997.
