Introduction
Before the merger of Peking University and Yanjing University in 1952, the West Gate of Peking University was the main gate of Yanjing University. It was built in 1926 by Yanjing University alumni and is therefore also known as the Alumni Gate. It is a classical three-opening red-lacquered palace gate with a height of no more than seven to eight meters. Its style is simple, solemn and elegant, similar to the East Gate of the Summer Palace, and has a strong national style. The fierce stone lion images on both sides of the gate are unique and distinctive. Address 5 Yihuangyuan Road, Haidian District, Beijing
