Introduction

The Baishou Arch, located between Laonanmen and Dingguangmen in Qingyan Town, was originally named Daciwo and was built in 1843 during the Qing Dynasty. This stone archway features four pillars, three rooms, three floors and a sloping roof, towering over South Street and facing south. It is only 30 meters away from Dingguangmen. The archway has stone lion pillars on both the north and south sides, each measuring 0.65 meters high with open jaws, round eyes, front paws holding treasures and hind legs standing on the pillars. Despite being exposed to wind and rain for over a century, the stone lions remain vividly lifelike, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship.
