Introduction

The history of the old county town of Fuliang can be traced back to the 11th year of the Tang Dynasty, with a history of over 1,180 years. This city consists of the Fuliang ancient county yamen and the Hongta Scenic Spot. The Fuliang ancient county yamen is the only complete Qing Dynasty county-level yamen in the southern region of the Yangtze River, thus being known as the "No.1 Yamen in Jiangnan". Nowadays, the county yamen preserves the main gate, ceremonial gate, courtroom, main hall, second hall, and third hall, basically maintaining the architectural style of that time. The entire architectural layout is well-designed, with connecting corridors, offering a feeling of solemnity and relaxation that combines perfectly. The architectural style is very unique, achieving a harmonious unity between solemnity and elegance. The design of this building also showcases the imposing manner of the officialdom in the feudal period. Inside the county yamen, visitors can see ancient official attire, utensils, 18 kinds of weapons, signal flags, sedan chairs, clubs, and cultural-rich couplet plaques. Visitors can appreciate the style of the ancient yamen, learn about the history, politics, and culture of the feudal society, and experience the life of the ancient county magistrate. The towering Hongta is known as the "No.1 Pagoda in Jiangxi" and is also the symbol and "ancient city emblem" of Fuliang. Its magnificent scenery is worth appreciating.

Last entry time: 17:30 (Monday-Sunday, January 1-December 31) Note: From March 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023, primary and secondary school students (including graduate students and recent graduates) nationwide can enjoy free admission policy under the "Student Benefits" program. Each student can visit the scenic area for free once, and reservation is required one day in advance on the Yunyou Jiangxi platform. From June 20, 2021 to June 20, 2024, the scenic area offers free admission to on-duty police officers holding their own "Policeman ID" from all levels of public security agencies in the province.
