Introduction

Jiuyanlou Pass of the Great Wall was an important military gateway before the Ming Dynasty and also the only section of the Great Wall built on water, with a river wall spanning over 100 meters across the Jiujiang River. From the nine water gates below the wall, you can see the ever-changing Jiujiang River flowing by, creating a unique and stunning scenery. However, it is important to be aware of the changing temperatures and winds when climbing the wall and to bring enough warm clothing.
