Introduction

This temple is located at 3 West Street in the Qingyan Ancient Town, adjacent to the Ciyun Temple. It was built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, and underwent reconstruction in the third year of Jiaqing (1798). Originally, it was not a Daoist temple, but a association hall for merchants from both north and south to gather, and was later renovated into a Daoist temple. The entire palace is composed of a main hall, auxiliary halls, a west wing, a theater and living quarters, facing east and covering a total area of over 1000 square meters. However, during the "Cultural Revolution", most of the buildings were destroyed, and are now mostly reconstructed by later generations. The theater in this palace is the most striking, with very delicate wood carvings. On the wooden beam to the right of the theater, there is a group of high relief soldier patterns, such as "Hongmen Banquet", "Ambush on all Sides" and "The Song of the Four Sides", with distinctive military culture.
