Introduction

The first academic champion of Guizhou, Zhao Yijiong, once lived in the "Champion's Mansion" at No.1 Champion Street. Champion Street intersects with North Street and is close to "Xiayuan Street" on the south side. The main road of North Street is marked and easy to find. The mansion faces south and sits north, with a total area of about 700 square meters. The front hall, main hall, two sides, and gate are preserved, and there are remnants of different longevity characters on the wall inside the gate, which are said to have been left by Zhao Yijiong's great-grandfather. The architecture is mainly wooden with a simple and elegant atmosphere. The couplet in front of the gate expresses the owner's lifelong aspiration: "Qin and crane symbolize ambition, Confucius' teachings pass to the family."
