Introduction

The Xiangfei Tomb, also known as Apakhohja Tomb, located in Haohan Village in the eastern suburb of Kashgar, is the mausoleum of Apakhohja, the leader of the Islamic White Mountain sect, and his family, totaling 72 people buried there. Legend has it that the beloved concubine of Emperor Qianlong, Xiangfei, was also buried here, hence the nickname "Xiangfei Tomb". The tomb covers an area of 30 acres and was built around 1640 AD in the Islamic style. It consists of five parts: the gate tower, small mosque, large mosque, scripture hall, and main tomb room, with a height of about 40 meters and grand and beautiful. The main tomb room is the most important building in the scenic area and the largest dome-style building in Xinjiang, with a beautiful bonk beside the dome. The entire building is covered with deep green glazed bricks, decorated with colorful images and Quranic verses in Arabic, showcasing the beautiful architectural and artistic style of the time. Visitors can carefully appreciate these precious details under the guidance of a tour guide. Xiangfei's grave is located in the northeast corner of the park, with her name written in Uyghur and Chinese characters. Two exquisite Islamic mosques of different sizes are built on the left side of the mausoleum. There are various legends and stories about Xiangfei's life and death, full of mystery. Visitors can listen to the guide's explanation and explore the history and legends behind this legendary building.
