Introduction

Fayu Temple, also known as Housi Temple, is located at the foot of Guangxi Peak at the northern end of Qianbu Sha, and is the second largest temple on the entire mountain. On the roof of the Jiulong Hall (also known as the Yuantong Hall) in the temple, you can see some glazed tiles and Jiulong caisson from the Ming Dynasty palace in Nanjing, which is known as one of the three treasures of Mount Putuo and unique in the country. In addition, behind the Heavenly Kings Hall opposite, there is a Jiulong Wall made of finely carved and fitted granite blocks without any gaps, which is very rare. There are also some rare objects in Fayu Temple, such as the Longfeng Cypress, ancient ginkgo, precious ancient trees gifted by the Lianli Luohan, and stone-carved railings such as the 24 Filial Exemplars and Yunlong Youhaitian, all of which are unique treasures of Mount Putuo.
