Pujisi Temple is one of the three major temples on Mount Putuo

Introduction

Putuo Temple, also known as the Front Temple, is the oldest and largest Buddhist temple on Mount Putuo, and all major Buddhist events are held here. The entire temple is built on gently sloping terrain, with a pond in front fed by mountain springs. Lotus flowers bloom in the pond, and the fragrance is particularly strong in the summer. It is one of the "12 Scenic Spots of Putuo" and is known as "Lotus Pond Moonlight". Next to Putuo Temple is a stone pagoda called Duobao Pagoda, which is one of the oldest buildings in the temple. Although it cannot be viewed up close due to the surrounding courtyard walls, it is an important part of the "Three Treasures of Putuo Mountain".
