Introduction

The main peak of Minshan Mountain is called Xuebaoding, which in Tibetan means "Shar Dung Ri", meaning the sea conch mountain in the east. This mountain is located 25 kilometers east of Songpan County and has an altitude of up to 5588 meters. Xuebaoding is a very important holy mountain in the hearts of Tibetan compatriots, and it is also a sacred place for Taoism and Tibetan Buddhism. After the erosion of ancient and modern glaciers and the freezing and thawing in a frigid climate, the four walls of Xuebaoding are extremely steep, but they are also shining with silver light, overlooking the Huanglong Scenic Area.

Transportation

From Songpan County, enter Huotang, Sanchakou and Shangnamu through the Up Nibayakan Pass to reach the base camp of Pamo Monastery, with a distance of about 60 kilometers. From here, you can directly climb the mountain from the southwest side; you can also pass by on the way from Sichuan Zhoushi to Huanglong Valley, or come here specifically by horse riding from Songpan for sightseeing.
