Introduction
Jiangwan Scenic Area is located in the northeast of Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It was opened in June 20, 2001 and covers an area of 27.4 square kilometers. It is about 28 kilometers away from Wuyuan County and 96 kilometers away from the famous scenic spot Huangshan. It is only 1 kilometer away from the Jinguo Wuyuan Highway. Jiangwan is an ancient village with a rich cultural background of Huizhou. It preserves many typical ancient Huizhou architecture, such as Sansheng Hall, DunChong Hall, Peixin Hall, Teng Family Old House, etc. In addition, Jiangwan Scenic Area has other attractions such as Xiaojiang Ancestral Temple, Jiang Yong Memorial Hall, Nan Guan Ting and Beidou Seven Star Well. To showcase the cultural characteristics of Wuyuan, Jiangwan Scenic Area has also built new attractions such as Baigong Workshop, Guchuitang and Gongshe Canteen, allowing visitors to experience the traditional craftsmanship of old craftsmen, and enjoy traditional dramas such as Huizhou Opera and Wuyuan Folk Songs. Jiangwan Scenic Area is a national cultural and ecological tourism scenic spot and a patriotic education base in Jiangxi Province. It was officially awarded the title of "National 5A Tourist Scenic Spot" on January 16, 2013, and has deep historical and ornamental value. Note: From March 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023, students (including graduate students and recent graduates) nationwide can enjoy free admission once per student at each individual scenic spot, but must make reservations on Yunyou Jiangxi one day in advance. From June 20, 2021 to June 20, 2024, the scenic spot offers free admission for on-duty police officers holding their own "Police Officer's Certificate" from all levels of public security agencies in the province.
