These antlers were not obtained through hunting, but rather come from the large number of elk that winter in Jackson's "National Elk Refuge" each year. When they shed their antlers prior to leaving in the spring, they leave behind this antler arch. This unique sight attracts visitors from all over the world to visit and take pictures.
