Wai'pio Valley is located on the windward side of the Kohala Mountains, presenting a unique Hawaiian landscape: white waterfalls almost vertically pouring down from emerald cliffs, while the valley floor is filled with lush vegetation, blooming flowers, and ancient taro fields, with black sand beaches and waves crashing against the shore nearby. Local residents consider this place a sacred site. However, the valley itself has no residential or service facilities, only offering viewing platforms, a parking lot, public phones, restrooms, and road signs.
