The Kalalau Trail is the only way to access this land, stretching 11 miles from Ke'e Beach, crossing five valleys, and eventually arriving at Kalalau Beach. This trail is challenging, with some sections being dangerous and narrow, and rain can make the road muddy. Many hikers split the entire route into two days, camping at Hanakapiai Beach before setting out to Kalalau the next morning. Camping permits from the state park management of Lihue, Hawaii, are required, and hiring a guide is recommended while avoiding hiking during the winter.
Tourists who do not enjoy hiking can still appreciate the beauty of Napali Coast. Boat tours departing from Allen Port and guided rafting trips in summer allow you to see the magnificent cliffs of Napali Coast.
