The highest peak of Mount Hengshan is called Zhurong Peak, with an altitude of about 1300 meters. The name Zhurong comes from the god of fire, Zhurong. According to legend, Zhurong was the god of fire in ancient times. After being appointed as the official in charge of fire by the Yellow Emperor, he was also appointed as the Minister of the Officialdom, in charge of affairs in the south. He used to live on Hengshan and was buried there after his death.
There are many attractions on Zhurong Peak, including Lao Sheng Temple, Shang Feng Temple, Wang Yue Terrace, Nan Tianmen and Huixian Bridge. There are many temples in this place, and each attraction has its own characteristics and is a place for Taoist activities.
There is a sunrise observation platform on the mountain, which now has a meteorological observatory. As the weather is different every day, the scene at each sunrise is different, presenting different colors and beauty, making the sunrise on Nanyue Mountain even more spectacular and leaving a deep impression on people.
