Introduction

The Nanyue Temple is composed of nine multi-entry courtyards, including buildings such as the main hall, sleeping quarters, imperial study building, and Panlong Pavilion. It is surrounded by red walls and towering corner towers, reminiscent of the architectural style of the Beijing Forbidden City. The Nanyue Temple is a combination of Buddhism and Taoism. On the east side, there are eight Taoist temples, and on the west side, there are eight Buddhist temples, making it a shining gem among China's temples. The Nanyue Temple preserves the artistic essence of the Tang and Song dynasties and is composed of four groups of courtyards and nine architectural forms.
