Introduction

He Guilou is one of the tallest square buildings in the Fujian Tulou. Its amazing construction is due to the fact that it is built on a 3,000 square meter swamp. With only over 200 pine trees as piles and matting, it has stood for over 200 years. For residents of the Tulou, He Guilou is like Noah's Ark on a swamp. Although it looks no different from an ordinary building, when you lightly stamp your foot in the courtyard and the entire building sinks and floats with you, you will truly understand that this is a structure built on the swamp. There is also a building called "Cuimei Lou" near He Guilou, which is not in the scenic area and can be visited with a 5 yuan ticket. It is an interesting building known as "Little Dong leans to the West Tower".
