Introduction

Shanhaiguan Ancient City includes Shanhaiguan Pass and Dongluo City, both of which were built using many bricks with inscriptions such as "Constructed in the 12th year of Wanli in Zhen Ding" and "Constructed in the 12th year of Wanli in Luanzhou". These inscriptions are highly valuable cultural relics. Along the Ming Great Wall, there are many dangerous passes and Shanhaiguan, Juyongguan, and Jiayuguan are among the most famous. Shanhaiguan is considered the "Number One Pass in the World" and is a very important military fortress.
