Wanaka
Fly a plane in Wanaka, as there are experienced instructors with you, so no experience is needed. The planes have dual control systems, so if anything happens or you get tired and don't want to fly, the instructor will take over control.
Learn to Fly focuses more on professional flight training, with prices ranging from 750 to 241 USD;
U-Fly focuses more on sightseeing and the flying experience, with slightly higher prices, around 900 to 289 USD.
U-Fly generally offers three routes to choose from, with different flight times and corresponding sights. The 20-minute route (green line) covers only the classic sights, including Lake Wanaka, Lake Hawea, and the surrounding mountains.
The 30-minute route (blue line) covers a larger area, including Lake Wanaka and its four islands.
The 50-minute route (red line) covers not only Lake Wanaka but also Matukituki Valley, Glendhu Bay, ski fields, Mount Aspiring World Heritage Park, waterfalls... all included in the route, with beautiful scenery all the way.
