Xingcheng Seaside Scenic Area

Chrysanthemum Island
Juhua Island has a terrain that slopes south and is relatively flat in the north. The highest peak has an elevation of 243 meters, roughly equivalent to the height of Laotieshan Peak at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula. Overall, Juhua Island's peaks are towering and lush, surrounded by mountains, creating a harmonious and beautiful scene with the surrounding seascape. The northern part of Juhua Island has less mountainous areas and has fertile land suitable for farming and fishing, making it a picturesque and fertile island in the sea.
The Xingcheng Ancient City, built in the early Ming Dynasty (1428), is one of the best preserved four ancient cities of the Ming Dynasty in China (the other three are Xi'an Ancient City, Jingzhou Ancient City in Jiangling County, and Pingyao Ancient City in Shanxi). The old city area has historical relics such as city walls, bell and drum towers, cannons, and archways. Visitors can also visit buildings such as the Jiliao Military Governor's Office and the Xingcheng Confucius Temple, and climb the city walls to overlook the panoramic view of the city.

Xingcheng Shoushan National Forest Park
Shoushan is named after its three peaks standing tall and resembling a human head. It serves as a natural barrier in the northeast of the ancient city and has been a strategic location throughout history. During the early Ming Dynasty, the "Ningjin Victory" took place in Shoushan. Its main peak is the beacon tower built during the Ming Dynasty. Currently, the first mountain has been designated as a national forest park. Shoushan is picturesque and resembles a reclining girl from a distance, exuding elegance. Whenever the clouds and mist surround it, the beautiful sight of the "Three Crowned Clouds" can be observed. The elegant clouds and mist, occasionally hidden and visible, appear exceptionally charming, like a half-covered face of a girl cradling a pipa, standing gracefully and with a variety of poses. The ancients gave it a resounding name - "Three Crowned Clouds," making it the first of the eight scenic spots in Xingcheng. From a distance, Yixing Pavilion, Wanghai Pavilion, Half-leaning Pavilion, fountains, and Wanghai Tower, along with pavilions, towers, gates, pathways, unique pines, and strange rocks, all reflect each other's brilliance. Climbers can pass through the green pine trees, step on stones, climb the platform, watch the sunrise, and look at the vast sea, enjoying the magnificent scenery described as "The sky opens, and the clouds and mist are green in the southeast, with the sunrise painting the waves red."
