Heshan Gulao Water Town

Gulao Water Town, also known as Weidun Water Town, has a history of over 600 years. Here, the fishermen's homes are built along the river, surrounded by water on all sides. Streets are formed along the river, and boats are the primary means of transportation. The fish ponds and ancient banyan trees are interwoven, with few open spaces but many small bridges, earning it the nickname 'Venice of Lingnan.' Within the Gulao embankment, the water network is crisscrossed, and small boats shuttle back and forth. The banana groves on both sides sway, and the vast fish ponds shine like mirrors. The expansive mulberry fields ripple like a green sea, and the verdant fields resemble finely carved jade, presenting a picturesque scene of a southern water town.
