Shiquan Ancient City
Located in Shiquan County, western Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, it is bordered by the Qinling Mountains to the north and the Bashan Mountains to the south. It is known as 'Qinba Mountains and Waters, Ten Beauties of Shiquan.' The most famous attractions in Shiquan are the Zhongba Grand Canyon and the Ziwu Silver Beach. The canyon features steep and rugged peaks, intersecting rivers, and flat riverbanks stretching for miles. Additionally, Shiquan boasts significant cultural and historical sites, such as Houliu Ancient Town, which is rich in cultural relics, human resources, profound cultural heritage, and abundant tourism resources.
Houliu Town, Houliu Ancient Town, Houliu Water Town, 3A Scenic Area. Located 18 kilometers south of Shiquan County along the Han River, it borders Chihe Town to the east, Xihe Town to the south, Yundou Town to the west, and Chengguan Town to the north. Situated on the banks of the Han River, Houliu Town boasts expansive lake and mountain scenery, abundant natural resources, and a rich cultural heritage, resembling a beautiful ink painting. In 2016, Houliu Tourism Ancient Town received three consecutive honors: China's Rural Tourism Demonstration Village, one of Shaanxi Province's Top Ten Tourist Towns, and one of the Top Ten Boutique Homestays.
Guiguling National Forest Park
Guiguling Scenic Area is named after the Chinese sage Guiguzi. Tang scholar Sima Zhen mentioned in 'Shiji·Suoyin': 'Within the pass, there is Guiguzi, in Yunyang.' Tang dynasty historian Zhang Shoujie quoted Liu's words in his 'Shiji': 'Liu Bozhuang said, this Guigu, within the pass Yunyang, not Yangcheng.' According to this, Yangcheng Guigu belonged to Han (state) at that time, and Qin (state) could not place it. According to the research of pre-Qin historians, today's Yunyang ancient village at the foot of Guiguling Mountain in Shiquan County was located within the Hangu Pass of the Qin state, with a steep terrain. This is the ancient Yunyang within the pass, the place where the Qin king wanted to detain General Gan Mao, and also the place where Guiguzi lived during the Warring States period. 'Mr. Guigu' is recorded in the ancient Chinese immortal collection 'Lu Yi Ji'. The Yun surname Wang family, starting from the Xuanyuan tradition, through Shang and Zhou, followed Laozi to the west to Liusha. They returned to China last weekend and lived in Guigu Mountain in Hanbin.
Phoenix Mountain
Shaanxi Hanyin Phoenix Mountain National Forest Park was established in February 2014, covering an area of 8235 hectares. It is located in Hanyin County, Ankang City, and mainly consists of Phoenix Mountain, an independent horst mountain between the Qinling and Bashan mountain ranges, as well as the Hanjiang and Yuehe river areas. Influenced by the humid monsoon climate of the northern subtropical zone, the vegetation type is subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest. Phoenix Mountain has an average altitude of 1100 meters and is divided into four scenic areas: Yunwu Mountain, Wangheya, Shiku Mountain, and Xizhuyuan, with more than 40 cultural and natural attractions.
Xuanwo Town
Located in Xuanwo Town, Hanyin County, the Fengyan Ancient Terraces Scenic Area is an irrigation-type scenic area. The so-called 'ancient terraces' are the largest and best-preserved Qing Dynasty terraces discovered in the Qinba Mountains archaeological studies. In 2014, it was named 'Beautiful Countryside of China' by the Ministry of Agriculture. The forestry department has included it in the Fenghuang Mountain National Forest Park, and the Fenghuang Mountain Immigrant Ecological Museum has been established.
