Xi'an's off-the-beaten-path internet-famous landmarks, you must not miss

When you arrive in a unfamiliar city, almost everyone's goals include two parts. One part is to see what the famous attractions mentioned by others actually look like, and the other part is to visit interesting places and capture the local customs and prove that you have been there. And one day, when you open the photos, you suddenly think of that place. When it comes to Xi'an, words like classical, peaceful, and artistic come to mind. In addition to the famous attractions in Xi'an, there are also places that match your imagination of the city. Here, I will list several places in Xi'an that are highly artistic and unique, very suitable for you to take photos and post on social media.

Wuxing Street Catholic Church

This Catholic church, located on Wuxing Street in Xi'an, has a history of over 300 years and is the main church of Xi'an. When you walk beneath it, you will be moved by its architecture; it's an indescribable feeling. Usually, when you enter the church, it is very quiet inside. Wooden chairs and an old piano stand quietly in the corners. Devout believers kneel under the statues, softly reading the Bible. The roof soars high, and light filters through the stained glass. Note: When entering the church, do not wear short skirts, shorts, slippers, or tank tops. Photography is not allowed inside the church but is permitted outdoors.

Guangren Temple

The only Tibetan Buddhist temple in Xi'an—Guangren Temple, has a white stupa representing the symbol of Tibetan Buddhism standing at its entrance. As you walk into the temple, the red temple buildings appear particularly beautiful under the blue sky. The five-colored prayer flags flutter in the wind, and the sound of chanting scriptures continuously resonates within the temple, penetrating deep into the heart with a calming power. I spent an entire afternoon here. Guangren Temple is located at the edge of the city, and you can take photos of the temple from outside the city walls, but be sure not to take photos inside.

SEG International Shopping Center

SEG International is a large shopping center in Xiaozhai. In addition to various famous brands, the main attraction here is the many internet-famous foods and restaurants from Xi'an, such as potato chips in buns, hand-rolled noodles in buns, hot and sour noodles, various tofu skewers, braised pork with preserved vegetables, and various internet-famous drinks. There are also internet-famous chefs and restaurants like An Da Pai Dang and Yuan Jia Village's delicacies. If you are a true foodie, it is highly recommended to visit, take some photos, and you will definitely become popular on social media.

Yuanjia Village

Yuanjia Village in Guanzhong is a beautiful food village. The entire village features ancient architectural art, and from the beginning to the end of the street, there are hundreds of kinds of delicacies. From lamb blood vermicelli soup, lamb paomo, handmade noodles, hand-rolled sour and spicy noodles, yogurt, candied haws, to sugar-free garlic and vinegar, almost all the delicacies of Shaanxi Guanzhong can be found in Yuanjia Village. If you have always been fond of Shaanxi cuisine, Yuanjia Village is definitely the best choice. Besides tasting Guanzhong delicacies, Yuanjia Village is also an excellent place for photography.
If you ask where to eat in Xi'an and can only choose one place, I will definitely tell you to go to Sajinqiao. Sajinqiao has always been a hidden gem for local food enthusiasts in Xi'an.
