Yaoshan Scenic Area
Yaoshan Mountain is unique with its peculiar peaks, numerous waterfalls, dense forests, and excellent hot springs. It boasts magnificent cultural landscapes and combines grandeur, danger, beauty, uniqueness, and tranquility. It is divided into ten major parts: Dongling Pool, Shifei Yuzhang, Sanchakou, Bailongtan, Banxianju, Shiren, Jiguan Shi, Bainaucheng, Midong, and Hot Springs. Experts have praised it as having the danger of Huashan, the steepness of Emei, the beauty of Zhangjiajie, and the elegance of Huangshan. Shiren Mountain Scenic Area
Its name is derived from its unique mountain peaks, numerous waterfalls, dense forests, good quality hot springs, and beautiful cultural landscape. The ancient name of Shiren Mountain is Yaoshan, named after Yao's descendant Liu, who built the Yaomiao temple to worship their ancestors. During the Spring and Autumn Period, the great philosopher and social activist Mozi came to the foot of Shiren Mountain, and the Mozi ancestral site still exists there. The peaks of Shiren Mountain are majestic and magnificent, with diverse shapes that resemble artistic calligraphy. The ancient pines and cypresses, extraordinary waterfalls, and romantic scenery can be enjoyed in every season.
Zhongyuan Grand Buddha Scenic Area
Located 50 kilometers west of Lushan County, at the end of Zhengzhou-Yaoshan Expressway, at the intersection of National Highway 311, Zhongyuan Great Buddha Scenic Area has convenient transportation, surrounded by mountains, beautiful scenery, and a pleasant environment. It has abundant tourism and cultural resources, including the world's first Buddha, the first bell, the first hot spring in mainland China, and the first temple in the Funiu Mountain area. It is a tourist destination that integrates Buddhist culture, bathing and nurturing, sightseeing, and leisure entertainment. It is the leading scenic spot for eco-tourism in the Funiu Mountain area of Henan.
Huamei Valley
Due to the large number of Chinese Hwamei birds nesting and breeding here, the Hwamei Valley got its name. The scenic area consists of peculiar peaks, strange rocks, clear streams, green pools, secluded gorges, beautiful waterfalls, caves, lakes, clouds, red leaves, mountain flowers, wild fruits, herbs, rare birds, exotic animals, and primitive forests, forming a complete landscape system.
Sun Yat-sen Park
The Sansu Garden Scenic Area is located on the eastern foot of Emei Mountain, 27 kilometers west of Jiaxian County. With the Songyang Mountains at its back and the Ruyi River in front, it boasts beautiful scenery. For nearly 900 years, the famous Song dynasty literati Su Shi, Su Che, and their father Su Xun have been buried here.
