E'mutang
In June, there are two places in the country where the sea of flowers is the most beautiful. Besides the well-known Ili in Xinjiang, the other one is the little-known E'mutang! Green grass, blue sky, seven-colored sea of flowers, winding rivers, this is E'mutang in June, a place known as the 'most beautiful grassland sea of flowers'. E'mutang is located in Rangkou Township, Hongyuan County, Aba, Sichuan, a grassland sea of flowers only 370 kilometers away from Chengdu. Various colors of small flowers bloom in competition, covering the mountains and plains, stretching as far as the eye can see. The scale and density of the sea of flowers are rare in the highland grassland areas.
Cuopu Valley
There is a place that resembles the utopia described by Tao Yuanming, a place where immortals might live in seclusion, akin to the 'Shambhala' in Tibetan Buddhist texts. This is a remote and mysterious land that people yearn for, and a paradise for photographers. It encapsulates all the beauty of western Sichuan and even the entire Tibetan region... This is Cuopu Valley, praised by travelers as the 'Eastern Alps'.
Seda
Seda, a world free from the mundane troubles of life, is a place you must visit in this lifetime! Seda is located in Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, bordering Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province. Here lies the world's largest Buddhist academy - Larung Gar Five Sciences Buddhist Academy (Seda Buddhist Academy). The people here are devout and full of faith, making it feel like another world. So, if you have the time, come here to worship and immerse yourself in the world of Buddha, to see their practice and way of life.
Ruoergai
Ruoergai is known as the 'Oasis of the Northwestern Sichuan Plateau'. It ranks first among the six most beautiful marsh wetlands selected by 'China National Geography'. The vast grasslands appear even more expansive under the blue sky, adorned with blooming flowers and grazing cattle and sheep, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.
Tagong Grassland
'Tagong' means 'the place loved by Bodhisattvas' in Tibetan. The Sichuan-Tibet Highway passes through this area, which features gentle undulating terrain, vast grasslands, lush water and grass, and herds of cattle and sheep. For photographers, this is a surprising and excellent location for shooting, and even in winter, Tagong under the snow-capped mountains remains beautiful. From late June to early August each year, Tagong Grassland is at its most beautiful and lively. If you are lucky, you might catch the grand traditional horse racing festival.
Muya Holy Land
Muya is truly a beautiful place with few people. It has grasslands like those in Ruoergai and a meandering 'Mother River' similar to the Yellow River's Nine Bends. The mountains here stretch endlessly, and you can also hear the devout chanting of prayers... The Muya Holy Land in Kangding is located on the west side of Zheduo Mountain in the world-renowned city of love songs—Kangding, in a place called 'Muya Xinkang' (Tibetan: meaning a paradise-like Muya place). It is the first scenic area in the country themed around the Tibetan Muya culture.
