Guiping Xishan
Guiping Xishan in Guangxi is one of the seven famous Xishan mountains in China, also known as Siling Mountain (Siling Shan). It is named because it is located 1 kilometer west of Guiping City. Since the Southern Liang Dynasty established the Guiping County seat in the Xishan Big Nest, it has gradually become a tourist attraction.
Within Longtan Forest Park, the mountains are continuous, the peaks are overlapping, thousands of peaks stand like screens, towering into the sky, with bizarre rocks standing in great numbers, creating a magical and majestic scenery. The continuous mountains resemble green dragons flying up and down.
Guiping National Geopark
The geopark features various geological landscapes including Xishan granite landforms, Baishishan Danxia landforms, Datengxia gorge landforms, and Longtan sandstone peak cluster landforms. It also has typical geological structures and water landscapes such as cold springs, waterfalls, and rivers, all in a well-preserved natural state. The park concentrates a wealth of geological landscapes within a very limited area, which is rare in southeastern Guangxi and even nationwide.
