What are the must-visit attractions in Erhai Lake?

Many people come to Dali just to catch a glimpse of Erhai Lake in their hearts: a beautiful plateau lake, peacefully nestled at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, engulfed in mist. The beauty of Erhai Lake cannot be fully appreciated if one is merely passing through. There is so much charm here, like the mountainous and waterfront roads in Haidong, the pastoral countryside in Haixi, and the ancient towns and fishing villages...

It is one of the most important landmark buildings in Dali, consisting of three pagodas: one large and two small, the Reflection Pond, and Chongsheng Temple. The ticket price is around 120 yuan, and there is an electric car service inside the scenic area for 25 yuan. The entrance ticket is a bit expensive, so if you don't particularly want to go inside, you can actually view the Three Pagodas from the outside on Santai Avenue, which offers a better panoramic view.
The ancient town has a strong sense of history, being a Bai ethnic group settlement area with distinctive Bai-style residences as highlights. Among the more than one hundred Republican-era mansions, there are also many modern Western elements. Another highlight of Xizhou Ancient Town is its local snacks: the iconic food of 'A Bite of China 2', Xizhou Baba, and the fragrant 'Grandma's Popsicle'... Spend a few hours here, wandering the streets, and discovering traces of Bai life...
A place where you can enjoy a 270° view of Erhai Lake: surrounded by water on three sides, with fields, Cangshan Mountain, and Erhai Lake all spread out before you. You can feel the slight bumpiness of the small horse-drawn carriage. This place is not only peaceful and free but also a great spot for photography: romantic couple trees, clusters of reeds, ancient trees, and unrestrained sunlight.
A small island in Haidong, very tiny but quite famous. Legend has it that Guanyin threw the Sea-Calming Seal here to calm the waves and protect local fishermen. The island features a two-story pavilion, with one floor dedicated to Guanyin and the other to Buddha. From November to April each year, flocks of seagulls circle around Xiaoputuo. Whether you visit in the early morning or at dusk, it is easy to encounter the holy light of Jesus here.
