Introduction

Chongsheng Temple is a royal temple during the Dali Kingdom period, and is also one of the most magnificent ancient temples in Dali's history. The three towers in the temple, the big tower and two small towers, known as the "Dali Three Towers," are one of China's famous Buddhist towers. These three ancient towers not only represent the flourishing of Buddhism in Dali, but are also an important landmark in the landscape of the Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake in Dali. The temple seen today is a reconstruction, but the remains of the three thousand-year-old ancient towers are still present, making them the biggest highlight of Chongsheng Temple.
