Watch the Sunset
The ethereal sunset is another major highlight of Wugong Mountain. The afterglow of the setting sun falls far into the mountain valleys, radiating its unique brilliance at this time, a crimson hue with a hint of withered yellow in the sunlight. The Golden Summit is one of the best spots to watch the sunrise.
Ancient Altars
The ancient altar group of Wugong Mountain is located at the highest point of the eastern slope of Jinding. It consists of four ancient altars: Gexian Ancient Altar, Wangxian Altar, Chongying Altar, and Qiusi Altar. Built during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it has a history of over 1,700 years. These ancient altars, constructed with granite, are ancient sacred sites for folk worship of heaven and earth in the Hunan-Jiangxi region. They are praised by domestic experts as 'living fossils' for studying ancient folk worship culture in Jiangnan and are known as a 'unique marvel of China.'
Kan Gudao
Ping'an Ancient Road is a colloquial term used by locals for the trade route between Da'an and Anfu areas, also known as the 'Tea-Horse Road' of Wugong Mountain. The well-preserved stone steps in Ping'an Ancient Road are one of the better hiking trails within Wugong Mountain. Along the way, you can see clear and transparent streams; the first half of the journey involves hiking through bamboo forests reminiscent of ink paintings, a natural oxygen bar with rich vegetation.
Stargazing
The nights at Wugong Mountain are gentle, quiet, and dreamy. Countless dim stars hang in the deep blue sky, twinkling as if they were a pair of lively eyes. Wugong Mountain is known as an excellent place for stargazing. On clear and calm nights, countless tents are set up among the mountains, and both professional and amateur photographers regularly expose their cameras to capture the movement of the stars.
Watching the Sea of Clouds
From November to May of the following year, Wugong Mountain is an ideal season to observe the sea of clouds. Compared to the sea of clouds that emerge like bamboo shoots after a spring rain in summer, the autumn sea of clouds is like a quiet and reserved lady, beautiful just to look at quietly. The strange peaks, rocks, and pine trees hidden in the sea of clouds add to the magnificence.
Golden View
In the autumn, the Wugong Mountain is covered with grass that has turned from green to yellow. The reed flowers have bloomed with white stamens, and the grass has started to show a golden hue. For a moment, this sea of reed flowers rolls up golden waves, one wave pushing higher than the other. We are intoxicated by these golden waves. Under the blue sky, Wugong Mountain looks like a flowing chain of golden grass, catching our eyes.
Waterfall Viewing
Wugong Mountain's water scenery is distinctive, with abundant water resources. Due to years of neglect, it is a rare water landscape among the major mountainous scenic areas in the country. The entire Wugong Mountain has nearly 200 waterfalls of various shapes and sizes, some cascading straight down, others winding and trickling, all exceptionally beautiful. Wugong Mountain also has hot springs that are like spring all year round, which have excellent health benefits.
