These six small villages in China are simple, peaceful, and picturesque. They are known to few people, and one could spend a lifetime searching for them!

China is vast and diverse, there are always places that you cannot reach and landscapes that you cannot see. Today, I will continue to introduce to you those unknown and lesser-known small villages.

Ganyu Valley Village, Miyun, Beijing

Ganyu Valley Village in Miyun District, Beijing, is located at the foot of the Great Wall. This village, weathered by two hundred years of wind and rain, is simple and tranquil. Nowadays, with the emergence of many 'hollow villages', it has been transformed into a homestay. Each household has an independent courtyard, varying in size, and through the walls of the courtyard, you can see the beautiful mountain scenery. Following the mountain road for two kilometers, there is a wild section of the Great Wall, offering a broad view from the top. In the mountains, you can pick fallen hawthorns. Living in such a village feels like returning to my harmonious and joyful hometown.

Tianzhongwan Village, Xinmi, Henan

This place is known as the best-preserved wartime site in Henan. Back then, the Anti-Japanese Advance Detachment of the Eighth Route Army in Western Henan, led by Commander Pi Dingjun and Commissar Xu Zirong, carried out anti-Japanese and national salvation work here, making significant contributions to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Nowadays, villagers are promoting poverty alleviation and prosperity through red tourism, hoping more people will visit to experience the beautiful scenery of Fuxi Mountain and the simplicity of the people in the old revolutionary base area.

Ta'erpo, Linfen, Shanxi

Scattered across Yunqiu Mountain in Shanxi are many ancient villages. Ta'erpo, with its poetic name, exudes a sense of profound and rustic charm. The ancient locust tree at the edge of the village attests to its history of at least a thousand years. In front of the village, a gentle stream flows down from Quaner Valley. Stone steps connect the courtyards within the village, and ancient persimmon trees stand along the edge of the valley, creating an idyllic paradise.

Zhengdou Village, Ganzi, Sichuan

Zhengdou Village belongs to Zhengdou Township, Xiangcheng County, Ganzi. This is a small Tibetan village mainly engaged in animal husbandry. The traditional Tibetan houses usually have the ground floor used for livestock. The village is clean and tidy with beautiful scenery. It is said that the villagers are relatively wealthy, with some dowries reaching up to millions.

Jinguang Village, Jingyuan, Ningxia

Jinguang Village in Jingyuan County is located in the core area of Liupan Mountain. The ancestors migrated here from Weinan.
