Recommended places to visit around Tianjin

As a pearl on the banks of the Huai River, Tianjin has a historical heritage of "a Haihe River sightseeing belt and half of China's modern history". It is full of exotic flavors and breeds unique flavors in the fusion of traditional culture. Here, I recommend you to travel to beautiful places with few people around Tianjin. Let's go on a weekend trip!

An exquisite thousand-year-old ancient temple, one of the three remaining Liao Dynasty temples. On the birthdays and anniversaries of various Bodhisattvas, Dule Temple holds Dharma assemblies. During the Chinese New Year, temple fairs are held centered around Dule Temple, with nearby streets hosting lion dances, stilt walking, acrobatics, and other performances. There are also small stalls and snack stands selling handmade crafts such as kites, pinwheels, dough figurines, paper cuttings, candied haws, and 'donkey rolling' (a traditional snack), creating a very lively atmosphere.
The architectural style has a typical British flavor, distinct from other churches in Tianjin, making it unique. The land for the church was donated by the British concession's municipal council in 1893. The location is at the intersection of present-day Tai'an Road and Zhejiang Road. At that time, this area was still a water village. The construction of the church took 10 years and was officially completed in 1903. All the pastors of the church were British. In May 1935, a fire severely damaged the chapel. The restoration work was completed in June 1936. The unique architectural style here attracts many photography enthusiasts to take pictures.

Huangyaguan Great Wall is located on the north side of Jixian County, Tianjin. It is an ancient section of the Great Wall that was originally built during the Northern Qi Dynasty and was extensively renovated under the supervision of Qi Jiguang during the Ming Dynasty. This section of the Great Wall is known for its steep terrain and magnificent views, and it is less crowded with tourists. At the foot of the Great Wall, there are many farmhouses where visitors can stay and dine, making it a great weekend getaway for people in the Beijing-Tianjin area.

The stalactites come in various shapes and forms, and you can enjoy the cave by sliding down. Jizhou Karst Cave is located at the foot of Lingqi Mountain, north of Hongshuizhuang Village, Luozhuangzi Town, Jixian County, Tianjin City, 12 kilometers from the county seat of Jixian. The cave is named Jizhou Karst Cave because Jixian was formerly known as Jizhou. The characteristics of Jizhou Karst Cave can be summarized in four words: new, strange, unique, and special.
