According to my own experience, it takes more than 4 hours to drive the whole stretch of Taiwan Highway No. 9, which is almost entirely a two-way single lane and cannot overtake. It is a mountain road along the cliffs. It is best to drive during the day, and it is quite tiring when the road is not familiar at night. There are no service areas or gas stations. Fill up on gas and use the bathroom in advance, as there may not be even a place to park for a long distance.
