On the plane, they say there is no free luggage allowance. What size is the carry-on luggage? The sum of the three sides of a 24-inch suitcase is more than 114cm. Do I have to buy a luggage allowance in advance ?

It depends on your plane. Some small planes can't carry suitcases, and you can only bring backpacks.

A 28-inch large suitcase is allowed for domestic flights in the United States, with a weight limit of 50 pounds (23kg). There is a fee of $30 for one suitcase, with an additional charge for exceeding the weight limit. It is recommended to carry the suitcase by hand as much as possible. The operation can be done at the airport on the machine.

20 inches, at most 21 inches, why are you so indecisive? Don't bring so much stuff.
