Hello, I rented a car in Germany to Austria and the Czech Republic, and then back to Germany. Caro company told me that I needed to buy a pass to go to the Czech Republic and Austria. On my way to Austria and the Czech Republic, I did not buy a highway ticket (I asked at the gas station on the way to the Czech Republic if they sold passes, and they said no). Now I am already in the Czech Republic. Do I need to buy one on the way back to Germany ?

There is no concept of a one-way or return journey. You can be checked at any time as long as you pass through Austria. I thought you had already left Austria. Remember to buy a highway ticket at the gas station.
If not checked, don't use.
So the return trip didn't have a check-in?
Thank you so much!
