I suggest you buy a giffgaff card, and when the traffic is used up, you can buy recharge cards at small stores, convenience stores, or supermarkets. In particular, I suggest that you recharge 25 pounds to get unlimited traffic (for 1 month. But I don't know if it's a natural month or 30 days, because I recharged it on the 2nd of the month). Renting a wifi in the UK seems too expensive to me, almost 50 yuan/day.
