Rented a car from Avis in Spain and accidentally bumped into the garage when entering and exiting. The customer service said that Avis would compensate for it, but you must call the police first. Have you encountered this situation before? What should I do after calling the police ?

Bicycle accident, should not call the police, when returning the car, directly deduct the money.

We bought comprehensive insurance before going abroad. When we picked up the car, we found scratches on it. I took photos immediately. When we returned the car, the person inspecting it saw the scratches, and I showed him the photos. He didn't say anything and the car was returned smoothly.

The car we rented from Herz also had scratches. Herz also required that an accident be reported and a ticket be issued. We did not report the accident and issue a ticket. When we returned the car, we bought full insurance and there were no problems, so we handed over the car and left. For reference only.
