If you are planning to fly to Sydney on the third day of the Great Ocean Road Road trip, which time slot of the flight is suitable? Are you planning to return the car at the airport? Which airport in Melbourne is better to buy a flight to Sydney ?

Anyway, the return time of the car is before they finish work. They charge extra for overtime.

I returned the car at the 6th airport and bought a Virgin flight to Sydney at 5:30 pm. I returned the car at around 3 pm after lunch and the time was just right.

Right at Melbourne Airport, very close to the city. I returned the car here last month and took the 9pm flight to Sydney. There's also a small airport called Avalon, which is very close to Geelong, but I'm not sure what time the flights to Sydney leave. In fact, three days is enough for the Great Ocean Road. The highlights are basically just one look and a few photos, and there are no interactive places. The Gibson Steps are now closed and people are not allowed to go down to the beach to look at the Twelve Apostles. The scenic spots from the Gibson Steps to the Bay of Islands are only about 30 to 40 kilometers. If you don't go to Warnambool, you can do it in one day here, and you can stay in Colac instead of Cambell on the second night. Colac accommodation is 40% cheaper than Cambell. You can also enjoy the scenery by the lake in Colac on the third day. Colac to Melbourne Airport is only about 200 kilometers and the road is very good. Two and a half hours is enough.
