It's recommended to buy comprehensive insurance. Some car rental companies have unfair contracts. This time I rented from ThaiRent, and the contract stated that I would be charged 5000 baht for any accidents or damage. Fortunately, with my many years of driving experience, I returned the car safely and undamaged 8 days later.
