Is it necessary to rent a car in Bangkok? I see that many scenic spots are in Bangkok, unless you go to nearby places. It's a bit far to drive to Chiang Mai and Phuket. I wonder if there are any worthwhile places to rent a car around Bangkok. If they are all in Bangkok city, it's better to take a taxi or something. What do you think? Also, are there any plans to go on the 7th of next month? Hahaha, I'm going on the 7th of next month ?

Bangkok doesn't need to drive, it's too congested, and it's worth taking a taxi when three people start.

First day in Bangkok, rent a car and go directly to Mae Klong Railway and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Time should be well planned to match the arrival time of Mae Klong train, which saves the need for an extra day tour and allows you to play comfortably on your own. One way is about 1.5 hours. Return the car to the airport and take the subway to the hotel. I flew from Chiang Mai to Bangkok to rent a car to the Grand Palace, then went back to the hotel, and drove to Mae Klong early the next morning. Then return the car to the airport and take the GRB or BTS to visit the city attractions.
