If there is no fixed four digits, you can enter six digits, and some can be entered randomly.

It seems that different banks are different. Some require you to input the first four digits, while others require you to input six digits. Even on machines that only accept four-digit passwords, you should try inputting the first four digits first. If that doesn't work, input the complete six digits.
