Introduction

Kensington Palace is a royal palace located in Kensington Gardens in London, and has been one of the residences for members of the British Royal Family since the 17th century. It is currently the official residence of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke and Duchess of Kent, and the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and is also an unofficial base for Prince Harry. It has previously been the home of Princess Diana, Princess Margaret, and Princess Alice. Today, the State Rooms of Kensington Palace are open to the public and managed by the independent charity Historic Royal Palaces. However, the office and private living areas are still managed by the Royal Household. Kensington Palace is a building full of history and culture, and is where many members of the royal family live and work, making it highly regarded and beloved by many.
